GQ Cuts / Fartbox Clothing Fashion Show - Club Spice, West Covina, CA

When GQ Cuts is in the building, you know that you can expect 4 things: Crazy Hair, Hot Models, Sick Clothes by Fartbox and that they'll KTPG (Keep The Party Going)!!!

These were some of the best models that I've seen for a GQ event, the shirts were all custom tailored to each individual model for the runway and the hair was off the hook!  The models hit the runway to a custom mix of LMFAO hits by our very own DJ/NA.  Download it here.

I want to give a shout out to all involved in this event:  GQ for putting this all together, for sick hair, hot models, ect.  BTW, you forget to shout out "KeepitSquare.com" on stage again, and we're done buddy!  I'll never shoot for you again!  lol.  I want to thank Make up Artist Paulina Rocha and her assistants, Andrea Putnam-Choisser and Kaytee Joyce.  The better the make up, the easier my job is as a photographer!  You guys are amazing!  Richard Bonner, for getting your sing-on, you got some pipes brotha!  Fartbox Clothing for continuing to produce some sick ass threads!  The GQ Models for being a pleasure to work with!

Club Spice, in West Covina, CA - SIDE NOTE:  Don't believe any of the drunk ass whiners on some of the club review sites, they probably got kicked out of this place for good reason.  The people at Spice run a pretty solid place.  Great looking club, the bouncers were top notch, especially my hommie with the OG Handlebar Mustache! You guys rock!  GQ gave mad props to "The Cartel" for taking care of him, so I guess I'll shout them out (gotta meet you guys still).  I'm sure that I'll miss some thank you's, but I can't forget to shout out "Mamma Q"... I swear that it's heart warming to see you out there, every event supporting your boys!  Not only that, but I think you can party most club-goers under the table!  Much love and respect!

Alright, too much yappin, get in there to our gallery section and check out the photos to remember what you did that night or to see what you missed!

EVENT PHOTOS ARE HERE!!!

Thank you to Mike Hinman and Aftermath for taking So Cal Paintball to a new level.  After 5 years of playing countless Pan AM's and XPSL's regional events... I thought that nothing would be able to replace the now defunct league.  Luckily, I retired from playing when the leagues fell.  However, Mike and "theMath" have provided a league that will ultimately surpass the prior leagues as the Premiere West Coast regional event.

The Reffing was great.  You didn't hear many complaints from teams.  I love that the officials were all either very experienced refs or they were veteran players.  The respect shown for the officials was better than I've seen at most events.  In any sport, when the players respect the officials, GAMES RUN SMOOTHLY!

I had a great time shooting at this event.  There was a great media presence, with Paintball Media Greats like Matt Dawson and Michael Wise, and Media Giant MAKE IT TO SUNDAY. I also want to recognize some of the others who were dedicating their time to the sport:

-Titanium Sportz
-AndrewHPhoto
-RampdPhotography
-ProPaintball
-JayKPhotography

If I missed anyone I'm really sorry.

I did my best to shoot as many teams as possible.  If you really want photos from KeepItSquare.com the best thing to do is:

1. Buy a KeepItSquare Shirt/Headband
2. Sport SquareONE Stickers!
3. Buy Robbo a Cheeseburger!
4. Ask ME TO SHOOT YOUR TEAM!
(I try to be approachable at events!
    Just come over and ask!)

Remember that I know times are tough... The Economy is why there are fewer teams... I don't need teams to hire me to cover them.  But the more you support KEEPITSQUARE, buy purchasing SquareONE Merch!

Thank you to everyone who picked up the new KeepItSquare.com Shirt, along with a free DJ/NA Mixtape!  Quite a deal for $15!  Btw/we have a few left over that will go up on the site soon... DON'T MISS OUT!

Enough about the Event and about my shirts!  Let's talk about the photos! Check out the top pics in our Keepitsquare.com gallery section by clicking the first photo!  Once you have seen the top pics, I'm not done there... there are over 400 photos on my flickr!

SEE YOU AT THE NEXT EVENT!  -ROBBO

GQ Cuts and FBR FASHION SHOW - Behind the Scenes.

The GQ/FBR Show was a great event!  Unlike most shows, I was able to spend some time with the crew at GQ Cuts, in La Puente, CA, \ before we hit the club.  We decided to give you a glimpse into the "Behind the Scenes" of what goes into this type of show.  GQ Cut's stylists, Kiss and Make-Up Artist: Amber, and the crew of models were preping for the show for over 5 hours!  The results were awesome.  Hair, Make-Up, clothing... I never really thought about how much work went into preparing for this type of show.

Check out our Gallery to see all the hard work done at GQ Cuts!

Photos from the show and club photos will be up before the weekend!

- GQ CUTS & FBR FASHION SHOW - Recap - Photos -

Two weeks ago at the Sabor Lounge, I met GQ and we worked it out for me to cover his event.  My bro DJNA had made the mix for their last show and I checked out some of the photos from previous events.  It looked like GQ Cuts and FBR (Fartbox Racing) put on a hell of an event.

The night started just before 7 when I arrived at the shop.  I'd never been to a barber shop that was this chill.  GQ Cuts has club/style leather couches, great music, comfy leather barber seats, and some of the sickest stylists in any shop I've ever been in.  BTW, Gabriel, you owe me a sick fade.  My hair's turning into a Mexi-fro!  GQ wanted me to show up early to take pics during the styling process and of the model's finished hair/makeup/clothing before we hit the club.  I was extremely impressed to see how much work went into each hairstyle.  Everything from extentions to full can's of hairspray... each model had a unique style to be featured on the runway.  (*SIDENOTE: If you're a photographer, shooting in a barbershop, preparing for a fashion show... make sure to use your lens cap while not shooting.  Camera lenses are like a magnet to hairspray particles and they don't clean easy.)  So after hours of hair styling, we ended up with a number of models ready to hit the runway!

We headed over to Cocoon Lounge in Arcadia, CA about 11:10 for an 11:30 runway show.  But the party don't start til we hit the door, so it was all good!  The club was packed and there was a great vibe from the door to the floor.  I had to position myself in the center of the runway as it was a round stage.  This made it really tough to get anything but super-close shots.  The lighting was tough to deal with.  I really needed more power, one or two more off camera flashes would have helped.   But I made do with what I had.  The show went flawlessly, beautiful models, sick hair, great clothes, a dope ass DJNA mix and of course KeepItsquare's own SHOOT ME ROB taking pics!  Great night!  Thanks again to GQ CUTS, FARTBOX RACING, COCOON NIGHTCLUB and all the models!

The galery will not be up until later this week.  Over 1500 pics to sort thru.  Keep checking back and KeepItSquare!
